Job Description: Database Administrator (DBA)
We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) with 3 to 5 years of experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database administration. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing and optimizing database systems across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, and migrations as needed.
• Monitor database performance and proactively tune parameters to optimize efficiency.
• Implement database security measures, including access controls and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database schema design and SQL queries.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) activities when necessary.
• Provide training or technology transfer to customers as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and performance tuning across multiple database platforms.
• Experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with database security practices and data protection principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve database issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
